How inDrive’s ‘Ride to Donate’ Initiative Supports Underprivileged Children with ₹34 Lakh Donation

inDrive, a global ride-hailing company, has partnered with CRY India to launch a heartwarming initiative, ‘Ride to Donate’, aimed at making a tangible difference in the lives of underprivileged children across India. 

The campaign successfully raised ₹34 lakhs, which will go towards supporting educational and developmental programs through CRY India, thanks to the participation of inDrive users and the involvement of brand ambassador Vikrant Massey.

The ‘Ride to Donate’ campaign encouraged inDrive users to contribute to a worthy cause simply by using the app for their transportation needs. As part of the initiative, inDrive pledged to donate 10% of the fare from every fourth ride taken during the campaign to CRY India. These funds will be directed towards supporting underprivileged children by providing them access to education, development programs, and other welfare initiatives that aim to improve their quality of life.

Avik Karmakar, Senior Marketing Manager for South Asia at inDrive, highlighted the campaign’s mission: “With the ‘Ride to Donate’ campaign, we wanted to address the injustices in our society that rob children of their dreams and opportunities, especially when it comes to their basic right to education. The fact that we were able to raise ₹34 lakhs for CRY India is a testament to the power of community support, with over 1 lakh users across Delhi NCR, Kolkata, and Chandigarh participating in this initiative.”
