Swish Secures $2 Million in Maiden Funding Round Led by Accel

Bengaluru-based food-delivery startup Swish has successfully raised $2 million in its first-ever funding round. The investment was spearheaded by Accel, a prominent Silicon Valley venture capital firm.

The round also attracted notable angel investors, including Abhiraj Bhal and Varun Khaitan, co-founders of Urban Company, and Karthik Gurumurthy, the former head of Swiggy Instamart.

Swish aims to disrupt the quick-commerce market with its promise of delivering freshly prepared meals, snacks, beverages, and indulgences within 10 minutes. The funds raised will primarily be utilized to expand its operations across Bengaluru, with plans to broaden its footprint into other tier-1 cities in the near future.

“Our platform currently offers 70 to 80 stock-keeping units (SKUs) that span various categories, ensuring that every item is freshly prepared and promptly delivered to customers,” shared Aniket Shah, co-founder and CEO of Swish.

Founded in 2024 by Aniket Shah, Ujjwal Sukheja, and Saran S, Swish operates a network of cloud kitchens strategically located to serve customers within a 1.5–2 km radius. The startup has already established itself in Bengaluru’s HSR Layout and Bellandur neighborhoods and plans to launch in Koramangala and Sarjapur by the end of November.

Swish enters a competitive market that has seen a surge in interest for ultra-fast delivery services. Industry giants like Swiggy and Zepto are also expanding their quick-commerce models. Swiggy recently introduced “Bolt,” its 10-minute food delivery service, while Zepto is scaling up its café operations, aiming for a significant annualized revenue milestone by the next financial year.

The rapid growth of the quick-commerce segment underscores a significant shift in consumer preferences in urban areas, where convenience and speed are paramount. Swish’s unique model, which integrates food preparation and delivery under one roof, positions it as a strong contender in this evolving space.

With the latest infusion of capital and its growing presence in Bengaluru, Swish is poised to carve out its niche in the fast-paced food delivery sector. As it scales operations, the startup is set to redefine how urban consumers experience food delivery.
