Superfone, a Bengaluru-based tech startup offering a business phone and CRM solution for small and medium businesses (SMBs), has successfully raised $1.9 million in its pre-Series A funding round.
Leading the investment was YourNest Venture Capital, which contributed $950,000, alongside participation from Ankur Capital, Finsight Seed Fund, and a group of angel investors.
The funding round forms part of the YourNest-SanchiConnect Velocity Program 2024, a targeted initiative designed to accelerate the growth of high-potential startups. This marks a significant milestone for Superfone, which had previously raised $1.84 million in July 2021.
Superfone plans to channel the fresh capital toward acquiring national telecom licenses, enhancing its engineering capabilities, and bolstering its leadership team with strategic senior hires. Additionally, the company aims to expand its customer acquisition efforts, ensuring broader adoption of its cutting-edge solution across the country.
Founded in 2021 by entrepreneurs Pradeep Dodle and Nikhil Goenka, Superfone provides an innovative alternative to traditional business phone systems. By eliminating the need for physical SIM cards, the startup offers a fully app-based platform that seamlessly integrates tools such as customer relationship management (CRM), lead tracking, WhatsApp marketing, and AI-driven communication.
The solution is designed to address the unique challenges faced by over 10 million SMBs in India, helping them enhance customer engagement, streamline operations, and drive business growth.
Superfone recently secured a Unified Licence (VNO) with Access Service for Karnataka and a Pan-India Unified Licence for Audio Conferencing, Audiotex, and Voice Mail services from the Department of Telecommunications (DoT). These achievements lay the foundation for Superfone to strengthen its foothold in the domestic market while paving the way for international expansion.
The company also has ambitious plans to enter high-growth regions like Southeast Asia and Latin America, leveraging its software-driven telecom platform to empower businesses globally.
Superfone’s innovative approach to business communication not only enhances operational efficiency but also offers SMBs a competitive edge in today’s dynamic market. With this latest funding round, the company is poised to revolutionize how small businesses in India—and eventually across the world—manage their communication and customer relationships.
