Sanket Upadhyay, senior journalist and Consulting Editor of the renowned Indian news media company NDTV, has officially quit. He was associated with NDTV for over four years.
Upadhyay began his renowned journalism career in 2002 with Indo Asian News Service (IANS). After that, he joined the Hindustan Times in Jaipur as a City Reporter and continued to work there for two years.
Soon after, in 2005, Upadhyay entered TV journalism with NDTV, where he was made the Lucknow Bureau Head of NDTV’s English Channel NDTV 24*7. In 2008, he then returned to Delhi after joining the English news channel Times Now as its Principal Correspondent. After working with Times Now for over five years, and becoming the Deputy News Editor, he quit in 2014. In the same year, he joined India Today Group as its Output Incharge and hosted the immensely popular show ‘First Up’.
Immediately prior to working with NDTV, Upadhyay worked with CNN News 18 as Deputy Executive Editor. His impressive career has therefore spanned more than two decades of rigorous work, producing admirable results.
At present, no information is available about why Upadhyay quit and what his next steps will be.
