Mac users are embracing AI apps like never before, as per a new report by app subscription service Setapp (via TechCrunch).
According to the report, 63% of them believe that AI apps are more beneficial than those without AI. Thus, due to their popularity, more and more people have begun to use it. Setapp’s reserach reveals that 44% have already implemented either AI or machine-learning-models in their apps while another 28% say that they are currently working on doing so. Most strikingly, 42% of Mac users currently use AP-based apps on a daily basis.
This useful survey is part an annual report on the state of Mac apps which included responses from 1,241 Mac users, mostly in the U.S, which highlights the interest and usage of AI apps among this section of the user base.
Top AI apps among Mac users include aren’t necessarily the ones native to macOS – like Google’s AI Bard and Bing, which integrated AI technology from OpenAI. In addtion, other top AI apps users mentioned include: Spark, TypingMind, Elephas, Notion, Grammarly, Craft, Luminar Neo, MacGPT, Asana, Raycast and MacWhisper.
Furthermore, the survey reported other findings about Mac app adoption and discovery, such as the fact that the top means of app discovery include the Mac App store, YouTube and other social media, and the fact that subscriptions seem to be more popular than one-time purchases,
While this survey naturally does not encompass global responses, it nonetheless proves how AI is being increasingly integrated into daily digital life.
