JioCinema announces a partnership with ShareChat and Moj

JioCinema, India’s leading streaming platform, has announced a partnership with ShareChat and Moj, two of the country’s most popular short-form video apps.

This collaboration aims to bring JioCinema’s extensive sports content to a wider audience through engaging formats. It will focus on catering to the growing demand for short-term content and bite-sized highlights, a niche that ShareChat and Moj have successfully achieved. JioCinema will provide these platforms with curated sports, interviews, and other fresh content like unseen anecdotes, and conversations from dressing rooms. This will allow users to stay updated on their favorite teams and sportspeople through ShareChat and Moj’s familiar interface.

As per the agreement, JioCinema has been enabled access to the gigantic user base of ShareChat and Moj, which boasts over 325 million users combined. With this expanded reach, it can then introduce its platform and content to a wider audience, potentially driving user engagement and acquisition.

The partnership also emphasizes regional content promotion. Viacom18‘s OTT platform’s library boasts content in several Indian languages, making it accessible to a diverse audience all across the country. This caters flawlessly to the regional focus of ShareChat and Moj’s user base.

Additionally, fans can expect to see highlights from major sporting events like the Women’s Premier League (WPL), Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024, the Indian Super League (ISL), and even the highly anticipated Paris Olympics 2024.
