Disney Star, the official television broadcaster of IPL 2024, has onboarded in seven sponsors for the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League (IPL).
The brands that have been roped in are Dream11, Vimal, Asian Paints, Charged by Thumsup, Joy Personal Care, Dettol and Amul. Sources have also indicated that two more deals are likely to be finalized in the upcoming week.
The exact price at which the deal has been struck remains unknown. However, as per the first rate-card released by Disney Star, which will air matches on its sports channels, it is seeking Rs 71 crore for co-presenting sponsorship and Rs 35 crore for associate sponsorship for HD channels. Moreover, for SD channels, Disney Star is reportedly seeking outlays of Rs 167 crore and Rs 83 crore for co-presenting and associate sponsorships, respectively.
Additionally, Disney Star has formed a particularly close partnership with Dream11, roping it in as a co-partner for the tournament.
