Born as Praveen Sethia, his transformation to the iconic RJ Praveen was nothing short of extraordinary. His journey kickstarted in 2004 when he decided to pursue a career in radio, with his effortless wit ensuring that his audition for Red FM in Kolkata was a soaring success. Initially starring in Red FM, his charisma and comedic talent made him a household name in India, hosting several popular programs that resonated with audiences across the country. He has also impressed audiences with his skill at mimicry and his popular horror show “”Ek Kahani Aisi Bhi”, standing as testaments to his diverse and unstoppable talent.
But RJ Praveen’s true appeal lies beyond the glamour of professional media. Despite his fame as a national icon, he has touched hearts with his ability to keep it real and his spirit of generosity to those around him. In one of his latest videos, Praveen and his team shone the spotlight on the “4 Saal Ki Cricketer” Rishika Sarkar, a young girl with big dreams that Praveen wants her to fulfil.
Giving the audience inspiring snapshots of Rishika’s prodigious cricket talent, Praveen emphasized how he wanted her to one day represent India like her favourite cricketer, Virat Kohli, winning the world cup for her country. He requested his followers to support a school that would be the right fit for her, taking care of her education and nutrition as well as encouraging her cricket ambition.
“Let’s do it for Rishika,” he encouraged his followers on social media.

Praveen’s heartfelt support for Rishika has not gone unnoticed by his followers, who promised to help him support her to the best of their abilities and praised him for his “great work”.
With the support of millions, Rishika is now one step closer to her dream. Her talent was noticed by none other than cricket legend Yuvraj Singh, who praised her outstanding capabilities and expressed the hopes that she would find her future at the Yuvraj Singh Centres of Excellence (YSCE) and Merlin’s Group in Kolkata, a haven for young cricketers with some of the best indoor and outdoor cricket facilities in the country along with a special high-performance centre.

At her new school, Rishika now has some of the best coaches in India to help her fulfil her goal. The Head Coach, Satyendra Singh, has already expressed praise for her talents. “She’s really good,” he complimented, and asserted that if she continued practising in this manner, she would undoubtedly have a very bright future ahead of her.
