Facebook Launches Weekly Live-Stream Shopping Events For Beauty And Fashion Brands
With the launch of a new series called 'Live Shopping Fridays,' Facebook is taking the next step in its expanding eCommerce campaign, where the site will host live shopping events with selected retailers and invite users to ask questions about the product and buy everything online. All this will be done online.
According to Facebook, "Starting this week and every Friday through July 16, enjoy shoppable live videos from beauty and fashion brands. For shoppers, this means you can discover the latest products from your favorite brands and ask questions about size, fit, and tips in real-time. And for brands, Live Shopping offers a chance to build relationships with customers, provide new entertaining content, answer questions and streamline the purchase process through convenient checkout with Shops."
Abercrombie & Fitch, Clinique and Sephora are among the companies participating. They are also providing experts in order to provide answers to questions asked by viewers in real time as they present their new offers.
Viewers will be able to comment and ask questions during the live broadcasts, which marketers can read and answer to. Shoppers can also tap the brands on the stream to learn more without leaving the video. If they wish to purchase, they can add them to your cart and still check out – before or even after the event is over. The customer shipments are sent to marks, and, if customers choose, other information such as email and telephone numbers can be accessed.
According to Facebook, the live events will be shown to customers in a variety of ways this summer. If you follow a brand, you will be informed of their involvement. You can also see News Feed updates, which will notify you when activities begin. In addition, the Facebook Shop tab will show a calendar of upcoming live shopping streams taking place around the site.
