- Who are we?
We are Storytellers Union, a Kochi-based production house and IP studio that blends cinema, culture, and cutting-edge creativity. We build original narratives and craft compelling visual content for brands, platforms, and our own slate of intellectual properties.
- What does the production house do?
We produce ad films, branded content, and business-to-business stories, while simultaneously developing original IPs that reflect bold ideas and local flavor. Our work spans traditional storytelling formats as well as experiments with AI and new media.
- What is the size and the strength of the company?
We’re a compact but powerful team of 10 core members, backed by a vibrant network of freelance collaborators across Kerala and beyond. Our strength lies in our agility, cross-functional talent, and a strong creative instinct rooted in regional storytelling.
- What are the various services that your production house caters to? Our offerings include:
- Ad Films (TVCs & DVCs)
- Branded Content
- B2B Content
- Corporate Films
- Social-first Visual Stories
- Experimental & AI-driven Narratives
- Original IP Development
- Some notable clients and campaigns you’ve worked on?
We’ve had the privilege of working with:
- Reliance Trends
- Gold Winner
- Federal Bank
- Manappuram Finance
- Chandrika
- Seematti
- Pulimoottil Silks
These projects have included regional campaigns, television commercials, and digital-first branded content.
- What makes your production house stand out from the rest?
We approach every project with a filmmaker’s sensibility and a builder’s mindset. What sets us apart is our dual identity—both as commercial storytellers and as creators of original IPs.
We’re early adopters of experimental tools like AI and aren’t afraid to break format, as seen with Dino Mukk, our mockumentary that combined AI with nostalgic Kerala imagery and storytelling.
- What has been the biggest hurdle in your journey?
The biggest hurdle has been scaling up without losing our creative edge. Balancing IP development with client projects can be tricky, but we’ve learned to build internal systems that support both.
Adopting new tools like AI also came with its own learning curve—figuring out how to use them ethically and meaningfully without falling into gimmicks.
- What are some of the key future goals or projects that the studio is working towards?
We are actively developing multiple original IPs—including new formats that explore regional humor, satire, and science fiction. One of them expands the universe of Dino Mukk into a longer narrative format.
We’re also building a creative lab model, where we prototype new ideas rapidly and invite collaborators to experiment with us. Long-term, we aim to be a hub for experimental, culturally rooted storytelling from South India.
- How has the company culture affected overall performance?
Our culture is built around freedom and collaboration. Everyone in the studio is encouraged to pitch ideas, take risks, and question conventions. That openness has made us faster, more flexible, and more creative under pressure.
The trust within our team—many of whom have known each other for years—has been key to our performance.
- What roles is the production house hiring for and how to reach out?
We’re always looking for people with a sharp eye for storytelling. Storytellers Union is a
collective at heart—we welcome creators who want to build something meaningful together and grow with us.
Whether you’re a filmmaker, writer, motion designer, editor, or someone experimenting with new formats, if storytelling excites you, reach out. This is a space for people who don’t just want to freelance—but want to settle in, collaborate, and tell stories together.
