Amazon’s ‘#IndiaSeDuniyaTak’ Campaign Showcases Indian E-commerce Exporters’ Global Success

Amazon Global Selling has launched the ‘#IndiaSeDuniyaTak’ campaign, spotlighting the remarkable journeys of Indian e-commerce exporters who have made a global impact.

The campaign’s first video showcases inspiring stories of Indian businesses, including a 112-year-old tea company from West Bengal, traditional Multani Mitti skincare products, and Kashmir’s exquisite Pashmina, highlighting how these age-old products have gained international recognition and popularity.

Since its inception in 2015, Amazon Global Selling has been instrumental in helping Indian businesses of all sizes export their products to international markets. By leveraging Amazon’s extensive global marketplace, Indian entrepreneurs have been able to overcome traditional barriers to export, reaching customers in over 200 countries. To date, the program boasts tens of thousands of Indian exporters, millions of Made in India products available worldwide, and a staggering $8 billion worth of Indian goods exported.

The ‘#IndiaSeDuniyaTak’ campaign features a series of four captivating videos, each highlighting the journey of a different Indian exporter. These stories, hailing from Srinagar, Indore, Ahmedabad, and Darjeeling, represent the rich tapestry of Indian tradition and craftsmanship. The campaign aims to illustrate how Amazon Global Selling has transformed these businesses, enabling them to achieve global recognition and growth.

In the first video, viewers are introduced to Aaqib Bhat, the owner of Pashwrap, a Pashmina brand from Srinagar. His story, along with others in the series, showcases the dedication, skill, and ambition of Indian entrepreneurs who have leveraged Amazon’s platform to reach new heights.

Bhupen Wakankar, Director of Global Trade at Amazon India, emphasized the program’s impact: “Our ‘India se Duniya Tak’ campaign highlights the diverse success stories of exporters using Amazon Global Selling. Launched nearly a decade ago, this program empowers Indian entrepreneurs to build thriving export businesses through e-commerce. It’s remarkable to see thousands of these businesses not only establishing globally recognized brands but also introducing Indian products to international customers. Their success underscores the program’s impact. Our focus remains on simplifying e-commerce exports. We’re making significant investments in technology to streamline the export process, making it more accessible for businesses of all sizes. Our goal is ambitious yet clear: facilitating $20 billion in cumulative e-commerce exports from India by 2025.”

Chandni Shah, COO of FCB Kinnect, highlighted the campaign’s intent to humanize the typically impersonal e-commerce interactions: “The ‘India se Duniya Tak’ campaign was deeply rooted in passion, aiming to bring a human touch to the typically impersonal e-commerce interactions. Amazon Global Selling isn’t just a platform; it’s a launchpad that showcases the remarkable offerings of Indian SMEs alongside their dreams and aspirations. We focused on authentically capturing the personal stories and unique spirit of each business featured, showcasing how Amazon Global Selling empowers Indians and the India story.”

The ‘#IndiaSeDuniyaTak’ campaign not only underscores the success of Indian e-commerce exporters but also reflects Amazon’s commitment to supporting and promoting Indian businesses on a global stage. By providing a platform that simplifies the export process and offering resources to help businesses grow, Amazon Global Selling is helping Indian entrepreneurs realize their global ambitions.
