Ati Motors Secures $20 Million in Series B Funding to Drive Global Expansion

Industrial robotics startup Ati Motors has successfully raised $20 million in a Series B funding round to fuel its growth and strengthen its global footprint.

The round was co-led by Walden Catalyst Ventures (WCV) and NGP Capital (NGP), with continued support from existing investors such as True Ventures, Exfinity Venture Partners, Athera Venture Partners, and Blume Ventures.

The fresh infusion of capital will be instrumental in enhancing product development, expanding market presence across North America and the APAC region, and reinforcing Ati Motors’ leadership in industrial automation. The company, which specializes in autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) for warehousing, logistics, and manufacturing, is aggressively scaling operations to meet the rising demand for intelligent automation solutions.

With a growing international footprint, Ati Motors has recently expanded into Mexico while fortifying its presence in key markets such as the US, India, and Southeast Asia. As part of its North American growth strategy, the company is currently scaling up its headquarters in Detroit, Michigan.

Before this latest round, Ati Motors had secured $10.85 million in its Series A funding in July 2023, led by True Ventures. Earlier, the startup raised $3.5 million in a pre-Series A round in 2021, backed by Blume Ventures, Exfinity Venture Partners, and MFV Partners.

With a strong client portfolio, Ati Motors serves industry giants such as Bosch, TVS Motors, CEAT, and Hyundai, reflecting its growing influence in industrial robotics across India and the US.

As per financial data from TheKredible, Ati Motors’ revenue surged to ₹12.42 crore in FY24, marking a substantial increase from ₹5.7 crore in FY23. However, alongside this growth, the company’s losses nearly doubled to ₹20.3 crore.

In the competitive industrial robotics space, Ati Motors faces competition from players like Prosus-backed Detect Technologies, Altizon, and Fero Labs. Additionally, Haber, another key player in the sector, raised $44 million in its Series C round in December, backed by Creaegis, BEENEXT, and Accel.

With the latest funding boost, Ati Motors is poised to drive innovation in autonomous robotics, making industrial operations more efficient and intelligent. As the company accelerates its global expansion and technology advancements, it is set to play a crucial role in the future of industrial automation.
