Barbieheimer Week is officially here!
Greta Gerwig’s Barbie movie and Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer are both scheduled to hit theatres on 21st July, which means that the world of cinema is about to see one of the most iconic and unexpected clashes of all time. On one side, we have a glamorous film around a picture-perfect doll in glittering pink, and on the other side, a haunting tale about the invention of the atomic bomb and the existential terror that has overwhelmed the world ever since.
Sounds fun, right?
This once-in-a-lifetime match has prompted a flood of memes, tweets and creatives from social media fans, who have also coined the term “Barbieheimer” to refer to the people who want to see both films on the same day.
