Actor and content creator Bhuvan Bam has achieved yet another staggering milestone. His YouTube channel, BB Ki Vines, has crossed an astounding 5 billion views, a testament to his enduring popularity and the faithful support of his fans.
Rising to fame in a country with a population of 1.4 billion, Bhuvan Bam’s achievement in reaching this cumulative viewership is an extraordinary feat that has been years in the making.
Even more surprisingly, Bam has not uploaded any new content for the past nine months, which indicates that the appeal of his videos owes less to their immediate relevance than to their lasting appeal, relatability and humor.
In a conversation with Hindustan times, the creator-turned-actor expressed his excitement for reaching this milestone.
““It’s a great feeling. Who can ever think of such a massive number? It happened over the course of seven-eight years, and now it feels that ‘haan, kuch to khaas kiya hai’,” he said.
Busy with acting and writing, Bhuvan admitted that he missed creating content.
“Of course, I miss it every day. Every day I think that today I will write something and post it, but the responsibilities have increased. There are so many topics that I have written half episodes on, but to complete them, I need to stop doing any other work and focus on this. But I don’t have that luxury in life now.”
Recently, Bhuvan shared that his childhood dream of working with Swanand Kirkire came true on the 2nd season of his hit streaming show ‘‘Taaza Khabar’. Starring Shriya Pilgaonkar and J. D. Chakravarthy, it follows the story of Vasant ‘Vasya’ Gawade, a sanitation worker who can predict the future and creates curls in his life and everyone around him.
