The war between Microsoft and Google Chrome has been going on in the tech arena for years on end now. Both companies have been at one-upping each other at full throttle for years by adding features to their applications. Their war rose to prominence especially in 2013 when Google Chrome launched its animated video titled ‘Chrome: Now Everywhere.’

Not one to stay quiet by their rival’s marketing strategies, Microsoft took to social media to create a parody video.

The rivalry between Microsoft and Google Chrome is not hidden.

They took 2 months and launched the Scroogled campaign to warn all the Chrome users of their privacy being breached. They claimed that Chrome tracks everything they do. The parody video was launched under the title: Microsoft Internal Google Chrome Bouncing Ball Now Everywhere.

But it didn’t end there. A few months later,  Microsoft started selling merchandise with anti-Google messages.

Google responded with a few witty remarks, saying, “Microsoft’s latest venture comes as no surprise; competition in the wearables space is really heating up.” Google also suggested that while Microsoft was busy selling t-shirts, Google was working hard on Google Glass.
