On the day of the Indian Premier League’s curtain-raiser for the 14th season, an advertisement featuring former India captain Rahul Dravid, to borrow a phrase that fits the occasion, broke the internet.

Dravid’s appearance in an advertisement for CRED went viral within hours of Virat Kohli’s tweet about it. The legendary batsman, proclaiming himself to be “Indira Nagar ka Gunda”, goes about letting out steam when stuck in a traffic jam.

On the day that the Indian Premier League commenced, many saw the renowned cricketer, Rahul Dravid, in a new light that blew everyone’s mind.

The cool and calm collected legend was seen in a new CRED ad which went viral minutes after Virat Kohli tweeted about it.

The ad commenced with Jim Sarbh talking about the benefits of using CRED to the audience soon after which Rahul Dravid makes an appearance as the self-proclaimed ‘Indiranagar Ka Gunda.’ Throughout the ad, the audience witnesses the veteran cricketer is seen yelling at others in the traffic and breaking another car’s mirror with his cricket bat.

This is the first of the 6 ad films to be released by CRED for their campaign Cred: ‘Great for the Good’, in continuation with their official sponsorship with the Indian Premier League.
