The travel app Ixigo has released a new video on social media that is based on the iconic NES game Super Mario Bros. from 1985 to educate travellers on the do’s and don’ts while flying

The video is essentially the first level of the game with quirky modifications that make it appear as though Mario is venturing through an Airport to board his flight. The Goombas are replaced with the virus, the rewards and powerups are replaced with items such as sanitizers, masks, and PPE kits. Subtle details like temperature checks and maintaining social distance while collecting the boarding pass and boarding the flight make the video all the more exciting.

This fun take on a flight safety lesson came at the right time as flights are slowly resuming and being cautious is more important than ever. The video was accompanied by the acronym M.A.R.I.O. which stands for Masks Are Really Important Okay?

They also put out a disclaimer stating that the visuals were used in good faith without any intention of infringement and that the aim of the video is to raise awareness and safety.
