Mother’s Day is just around the corner which always means hugging mothers tighter and loving them a little more than usual (if possible).

Because the holiday is very popular, arguably more popular than other holidays, and has various traditions that each campaign follows (flowers, spending quality time with mothers, etc.), brands try to stand out amongst each other through emotional story-telling with either an original twist or perfect execution.

We’ve curated a small list of our favorite campaigns over the years that resonate with just how special our mothers are.

Budweiser:

The Real MVP – It starts with NBA All-Star Kevin Durant paying tribute to his mother in his MVP acceptance speech which then progresses to clips of other stars with their moms. The campaign shows how important mothers are in their children’s life and the sacrifices they go through for their kids.

Pandora:

The Unique Connection – As a small experiment of women’s uniqueness and the special bond between a mother and child, Pandora met up with 6 wonderful women, and asked them to let us blindfold their most precious loved ones. Their children!. The footage—kids doing things like reaching for hands and touching hair in order to find their mom—perfectly captures the little things that make the mother-child bond so special. The setup also smartly adds some tension, since viewers are unsure whether the kids will make the right choices.

All Out:

Stand By Tough Mothers – Although it wasn’t specifically a Mother’s Day campaign, this campaign deserves a special campaign. The campaign initiated a national dialogue about the importance of families supporting mothers when making tough parenting decisions.
