Bhuvan Bam, one of India’s most popular content creators, is all set to take over as the commentator of ‘Takeshi’s Castle’.

The popular ’90s Japanese show made a significant comeback on Amazon Prime video on Thursday, with Bhuvan’s character ‘Titu Mama’ being the quintessential ‘funny’ narrator.

Most Indians would associate this show with actor-comedian Jaaved Jaaferi, the former voice of the show which helped him gain massive popularity among the younger generation. While Bhuvan’s appointment received backlash from a certain section, who felt as though he was not up to the task, Jaaved Jaaferi has been all praise and taken to social media to welcome Bhuvan to the mix. Taking to Instagram, he shared the recently released trailer and wrote: “Best wishes to Bhuvan Bam and Prime Video”.

Takeshi’s Castle returns to India after a gap of more than almost two decades and promises the original’s thrilling entertainment and signature quirkiness, where over 100 contestants navigate a series of wild challenges for a one-million yen prize.
