Fambo, a rapidly growing foodtech startup, has raised ₹21 crore (approximately $2.5 million) in a pre-Series A funding round.
The round was led by EV2 Ventures, with contributions from Rajesh Sawhney and several Ultra High Net Worth Individuals (UHNIs).
The capital will be utilized to expand Fambo’s operations across India, establish an export arm, enhance its technological infrastructure, and strengthen its network of partner farms. These initiatives aim to solidify Fambo’s position as a transformative player in the food supply chain.
Founded in 2022 by Akshay Tripathi and Sudarshan Satle, Fambo focuses on revolutionizing food systems with the help of cutting-edge technology. Its AI-powered platform ensures end-to-end traceability for fresh produce, meeting rigorous food safety standards such as GAP, FSSAI, ISO, and NSF. The company offers a diverse range of products, including fresh produce, sauces, gravies, frozen items, and ready-to-fry products, catering to a wide spectrum of food service needs.
Based in Noida, Fambo directly connects farmers with restaurants, hotels, and cloud kitchens, streamlining the supply chain while reducing waste and maintaining high quality. Its advanced micro-processing center specializes in semi-processed food items, enabling businesses to lower costs and maintain consistency in their offerings.
The company’s AI-driven platform is designed to assist restaurants in managing provisions, sourcing ingredients, and maintaining a dependable supply chain. Temperature-controlled logistics ensure timely deliveries, directly from farms to kitchens, while strategic sourcing minimizes inefficiencies.
Fambo’s client base includes over 500 restaurants and cloud kitchens, with partnerships spanning renowned names like McDonald’s, Burger King, Burger Singh, California Burrito, Farzi Café, and Barbeque Nation. The company reported a revenue of ₹18 crore in 2024 and achieved profitability by the third quarter of FY 2024-25.
Looking ahead, Fambo plans to invest in research and development, collaborating with universities in India and abroad to explore new food categories and enhance its product offerings. With its focus on innovation and efficiency, Fambo is well-positioned to continue transforming the foodtech landscape and catering to the evolving needs of the food service industry
