Newmi Care, a women-focused outpatient care platform, has successfully raised $1.5 million in a seed funding round led by Sprout Venture Partners. The round also attracted investment from a prominent family office, LetsVenture, Sarcha Advisors, Key Ventures Forum, and several angel investors.
With the newly secured capital, Newmi Care plans to establish more women’s health clinics in North and West India, enhance its technological capabilities, foster product innovation, and grow its team. This funding marks a significant milestone in the company’s mission to provide comprehensive healthcare solutions tailored to women’s needs.
Founded in May 2022 by Aditi Singh and Sanchit Agarwal, Newmi Care has already made an impact in the women’s health and wellness sector, serving over 60,000 women across 400 cities in India. The platform addresses a wide array of health concerns, including menstrual, sexual, and hormonal health, fertility and maternity care, menopause management, and the prevention and treatment of reproductive organ cancers.
Newmi Care has also introduced women-centric outpatient department (OPD) insurance products in collaboration with leading insurers, further strengthening its commitment to providing accessible healthcare for women. The startup currently operates 10 clinics in Delhi NCR and plans to expand its presence in other regions of India.
Sprout Venture Partners, the lead investor in this round, is an early-stage venture capital firm currently investing out of its second fund. In the past, Sprout has backed innovative companies such as Pixis, Ripplr, Fashor, Advantage Club, Goals101, and Fitso, among others.
Newmi Care’s success comes at a time when there is growing recognition of the need for specialized healthcare services for women in India.
