Exciting news for all Barbie fans – this year, Greta Gerwig, a four-time Oscar nominee and self-declared cinephile, will serve as president of the Feature Film Jury, making history as the first female director from America to do so.
Additionally, Oscar-nominated actress Lily Gladstone; actors Pierfrancesco Favino, Eva Green, and Omar Sy; filmmakers Juan Antonio Bayona, Kore-eda Hirokazu, and Nadine Labaki; and screenwriter and photographer Ebru Ceylan will all serve as the Feature Film Jury.
Furthermore, the Un Certain Regard Jury will be chaired by Canadian actor and filmmaker Xavier Dolan; actress Vicky Krieps; filmmakers Maïmouna Doucouré and Asmae El Moudir; and critic, writer, and director Todd McCarthy.

The festival is officially reserved only for film industry professionals, and accreditation is required to attend. There are also cinephile passes available for film students and cinema club members, and “3 Days in Cannes” passes for film lovers who are aged 18 to 28.
Additionally, the Cannes Film Market, or Marché du Film, where more than 14,000 industry professionals from 140 countries buy and sell films, is held in at the same time as festival every year. Registration is required to attend. Furthermore, the Directors’ Fortnight, a non-competitive independent sidebar at the festival, offers free screenings to the public, and tickets can be purchased on their website or in person, at their ticket office.
Lastly, anyone will be able to attend free screenings of classic films in the evenings as part of the Cinéma de la Plage program.
