“New threads, same reds.”

Captains Faf du Plessis and Smriti Mandhana along with batting icon Virat Kohli revealed the new jersey of RCB during a magical RCB Unbox 2024 at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

The team’s new name and logo were also revealed, paying tribute to the rich history and nostalgia of the city. The team will now be known as Royal Challengers Bengaluru. The jersey boasts a proud design with the RCB emblem embossed on the left side, painting a vivid picture with shades of gold, red, and blue, echoing the team’s spirit.

This launch reinforces the team’s connection with fans and the design of the logo not only reflects the franchise’s vision and values but also embodies the spirit of innovation, teamworkand excellence that defines RCB. Kohli, Du Plessis, Mohammud Siraj and Glenn Maxwell received resounding cheers from fans as they entered the field.

Fans were also treated to some entertaining music with the electrifying performances by the renowned DJ Alan Walker along with other popular stars such as Raghu Dixit, Neeti Mohan, Brotha V, Jordindian among many others.

While many fans rejoiced and supported the team’s new look, it didn’t hit the home run with all of them. Some have staunchly stood by the traditional black and red jersey.

RCB is scheduled to kickstart its campaign on Friday in the 2024 IPL opener before they head back to Bengaluru to play their first home game of the league on March 25.
