“Pay-Day is here, and it’s time to talk about money.”

Food delivery platform Zomato has launched several ads featuring popular creator and influencer Sharan Hedge for its ‘Pay-Day Party’ campaign.

With a following of 2.5 million on Instagram and 2.5 million on YouTube, Hedge’s content primarily resolves around personal finance. In collaboration with Zomato, he is seen revealing some of his top investment secrets for the benefit of viewers.

In the first ad, ‘Top 1& mindset’, Hedge is depicted in a podcast setting discussing finance secrets with his audience that the 1% of the world never says out loud. The secret is that the wealthiest people don’t spend salaries on mutual funds, SIPs or PFs. Instead, “they invest in friends”. Hedge thus encourages his co-host to spend on his friends, with Zomato’s “Pay-Day Party” offers broadcasted in the ad soon after.

The second ad depicts Hedge addressing an audience from the stage, where he reveals his extensive portfolio. Apart from investments and everything else that goes into a successful business model, Hedge reveals that he often indulges himself on the first day of the month.

“On Pay-Day when people get their salary, there’s often a big fuss about being smart with money, like investing in different funds and portfolios. But many forget to enjoy themselves. This is our attempt to remind everyone that even though it’s important to save and invest, it’s equally important to have fun with the money you’ve worked hard to earn,” Zomato wrote.
