Instagram has been hit with a technical outrage, causing widespread disruptions for thousands of users who report being unable to send or receive messages (DMs) on the platform.
According to Downdetector, which monitors service outages across channels, the problem began at approximately 5.14 pm on Tuesday, October 29th, with over 2,000 reports quickly filed by frustrated users.
Specifically, 48% of the reports cited an application problem, 27% highlighted problems sharing content, and 25% cited server issues.
The outrage appears to be ongoing and unresolved as of yet.
