McDonald’s Urges People Not to Drive Hungry With McSafe Drive Campaign
Hunger often translates to anger very easily, and this is particularly true on the roads. Frustrated driving can often be very dangerous for everyone on the road since it leads to rash and unfocussed driving. To address this, McDonald’s Launched a new road safety campaign in the Czech Republic called McSafe Drive. The idea behind this campaign was to promote their drive-thrus while people are on the road so they don’t have to drive hungry and frustrated.
The outdoor ad campaign created by DDB cleverly uses McDonald’s famous golden arches as elements for road safety like belt buckles, headlights and a speedometer. While the campaign outwardly talks about road safety, it subtly urges people to visit one of the many McDonald’s drive-thrus in the country to enhance their experience on the roads.
