Morgan Freeman Introduces a New Under Water Life Form

11 August, 2020 (Tuesday)

Oceanic pollution has become an ever-growing concern since the invention of plastic and the situation has only worsened in recent times. This pollution has an adverse effect on our food, our health, the air, and wildlife across the globe. Plastic can travel for hundreds of miles in the ocean and they can take thousands of years to degrade. This plastic pollution in the ocean has severely threatened marine life and the most dangerous form of this is microplastics. It is estimated that if we keep polluting the oceans at the current rate, by 2050, there will be more plastics in the ocean than aquatic life.

To raise awareness about this, Goody Silverstein & Partners joined hands with Google, Youtube, The UN and Tribeca Enterprises to create one of the greatest collaboration ads ever called ‘Life Below Water– The Arrival of a New Species’. What’s more? The ad is narrated by none other than Morgan Freeman which adds an extra layer to the cinematic experience. The tone of the ad is such that it feels like an actual aquatic species is being introduced but the powerful content makes us reflect upon the current state of the oceans. The short ad film was also accompanied by a bunch of gripping movie posters. Have a look
