Being the corporate sponsors for the 2020 Twin Cities Pride Campaign, 3M reached out to the agency BBDO Minneapolis well before the event was set to take place to promote their new Post-it Notes.

This, however, didn’t go as planned due to the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic. Plans were further shifted due to the horrific murder of George Floyd in Minneapolis. So BBDO and 3M shared the message of unity in a creative way. They used 7,500 Post-it Super Sticky Notes to create a rainbow mural on a black Post-it background which read “STRONGER TOGETHER”. The mural was placed on a wall outside a popular music venue called First Avenue which is home to a star placed in the honour of George Floyd.
