Content creator and actress Kusha Kapila is gearing up for the launch of her upcoming Disney+Hotstar series “Life Hill Gayi” by promoting it across social media.
The slice-of-life story revolves around siblings turning to rivals when they are put on an inheritance race by reviving a down-in-the-dumps hotel in the hill. Movie promotions have thus focused on creating reels and character sketches, usually involving Kusha and her famous co-star Divyenndu.
Announcing Kalki, the sibling Kusha will be playing in ‘Life Hill Gayi’, Disney gave their fans a brief overview of her character: “She’s all about Avo toast and micromanaging. She may lose to Sharapova, but never to her brother!”

Recently, Kusha Kapila added an emotional depth to the movie marketing process by revealing that she particularly appreciated how Kalki, the character she plays in Life Hill Gayi, has been “humanised”.
Kusha said: “I have been making content since 2017, and it was in 2019 when I went solo as a content creator. I have portrayed this character of a South Delhi girl who is blinded by privilege and luxury, so somewhere I get why I was chosen for the role.”
The social media sensation explained that the character couldn’t be as “caricature-ish” on-screen as one can make on reels, and that she appreciated the emotional depth and “legitimate redemption arc” given to these characters.
With over 3.7 million followers on Instagram alone, Kusha Kapila is one of India’s foremost content creators. Her popularity and immense reach across the online world appear to have given Life Hill Gayeis movie marketing a major boost, demonstrating the impact of content creators in all walks of entertainment in today’s modern world. Recently, she has also forayed into acting on various movies and TV shows such as ‘Thank You For Coming’ and ‘Sukhee’. Her dynamic screen presence in Life Hill Gayi will cement her presence in the cinematic world once again.
Directed by Prem Mistry and written by Jasmeet Singh Bhatia, ‘Life Hill Gayi‘ also stars Divyenndu, Vinay Pathak, Mukti Mohan, Kabir Bedi, Bhagyashree, and Aditi Govitrikar. It will be streaming on Disney+Hotstar from August 9th.
