Moroccan influencer crowned world’s first “MISS AI”, reacts to the win

“While I don’t feel emotions like humans do …”

Kenza Layli, a popular influencer from Morocco, has made history as the world’s first-ever Miss AI as per a report in the New York Post.

In the world’s first virtual beauty pageant, Layli topped the artificial intelligence charts and emerged as the victor over more than 1,500 computer-modified models. She won over $20,000 for Meriam Bessa, the creator who brought her to life.

She told the outlet: “While I don’t feel emotions like humans do. I’m genuinely excited about it.”

With an Instagram following exceeding 190,000, Layli is a popular virtual influencer with content that includes travel, food, culture, fashion and beauty. She is “available 24/7” to engage with her followers in no less than 7 different languages and embodies Morocco’s rich heritage and legacy.

“My ambition has always been to proudly showcase Moroccan culture while consistently offering additional value to my followers across multiple fronts,” Layli said. “AI is a tool designed to complement human capabilities, not replace them. By showcasing AI’s potential for innovation and positive impact, I aim to dispel fears and promote acceptance and collaboration between humans and AI,” the pageant winner continued.

The virtual influencer has promised to use her fame to empower women, save the environment and raise awareness about positive robot culture.

Ms. Bessa, CEO of Phoenix AI, said: “This is an opportunity to represent Morocco with pride. To highlight Moroccan, Arab, African and Muslim women in the field of technology. I am also very happy to be able to stand for subjects that are dear to me through Kenza Layli. Women empowerment and sisterhood.”

The “Miss AI” beauty pageant was the first of its kind, where its contestants were judged based on their appearance, the clout they commanded online, and the technical skill that went into creating them, as per Forbes. Commissioned by Fanvue AI Creator Awards (WAICA) in April, it embodies the heights that AI risen to in such a short span of time and opens doors for future events of the kind.
