Mumbai: Love was in the air—and on the track – as PUMA India and Bumble teamed up to host a one-of-a-kind run this Valentine weekend. Called Rundowner – The Singles Run, the two giant brands merged the worlds of sport and dating, bringing together running enthusiasts and social seekers for a unconventional evening of fitness, movement and connection. Rundowner wasn’t just an event—it was a movement. One that is shaping the future of socializing in 2025 and beyond.

In a world, where shared experiences define modern relationships, sport is becoming the new language of connection. According to Bumble’s survey, nearly 72% of Indians would be open to a sports-themed first date, and 44% even consider a lack of interest in sports a dealbreaker **. Recognizing this significant shift in how Millennials and Gen Z thrive on immersive social interactions and build new connections, PUMA India and Bumble created Rundowner for this Valentine weekend.

Held at Bandra Fort on February 15, the event kicked off with a breezy 2-km sunset run, setting the perfect pace for participants to meet like-minded individuals in a natural, high-energy setting. With the city’s skyline as the backdrop, attendees swapped swipes for strides, embracing a fresh, real-world way of forming new connections.

But the experience didn’t stop at the finish line. The sunset run seamlessly transitioned into a post-run mixer with speed dating sessions, interactive icebreakers and engaging activities, sparking effortless conversations. Over high-energy music by Crab Culture, great food, refreshing coffee, and a shared passion for fitness and sport, participants bonded beyond the usual dating app introductions, proving that chemistry is best discovered in motion. To make the event even more memorable, registered participants took home exclusive PUMA x Bumble running tee, an apt keepsake from the evening offering fitness-meets-fun.

In 2024, sports brand PUMA India and women’s first dating app Bumble entered into a partnership, to leverage each other’s strengths in order to redefine dating and social connections in India. The two brands created nationwide buzz with a trend-setting singles-only running event on November 10th in Bengaluru, ahead of Singles‘ Day. Rundowner in Mumbai is the second unique offering from the PUMA India and Bumble partnership.

As PUMA India continues to invest in running as a sporting discipline and Bumble remains committed to fostering meaningful relationships, Rundowner proved to be the perfect synergy of sport and socializing. This event is a testament to how Millennials and Gen Z are redefining the way they meet and connect—blending fitness with friendships, dating, and community building in an organic, exciting way.

As a leading sports brand in the country, PUMA India has been actively investing and promoting running as a sport. The brand officially supports key running events such as Vedanta Delhi Half-Marathon, the Ladakh Marathon, quarterly Nitro 5k and 10k runs, and weekly training runs in key cities such as Bengaluru, Delhi, and Mumbai, led by PUMA India run coaches — fueling a vibrant community. Through the partnership with Bumble, PUMA will continue to create experiences that inspire connection through sport and running.
