Jio is down across India, with many users complaining about network outrages on different social media platforms since Tuesday morning.
According to the tracking website Down Detecto, a massive surge of problems began around noon, with 10,372 Jio users reporting network errors at 12:40pm on September 17th, 2024. The detector showed that 68% of users reported ‘No Signal,’, 18 per cent of users reported mobile internet problems, and only 14 per cent reported Jio Fibre-related issues.
In an official statement, Reliance Jio clarified that the outage occured due to technical reason and the issue has been resolved.
“This morning, some Jio customers in Mumbai faced problems in availing seamless services on account of minor technical issues. The same have been resolved, and seamless services of Jio have been fully restored. We regret the inconvenience to our subscribers,” Reliance Jio spokesperson said in a statement.
The other telco networks like Airtel, Vodafone Idea and BSNL are reportedly functioning as usual.
