By revealing their new logo, Air India begins a soaring transformation. 

Air India has unveiled its new brand logo on Thursday under its transformative journey after being acquired by Tata Group in January 2022.

The airline’s reimagined logo, named “The Vista”, is a more contemporary version of their iconic Maharaja mascot, which will continue its journey through a transformed avatar. It retains the bold red lettering of Air India but has a different font, and includes a modern design with red, purple and golden colors. it will replace Air India’s old logo of a red swan with orange spokes, inspired by the Ashoka Chakra.

“Air India’s new logo symbol – ‘The Vista’ – is inspired by the peak of the gold window frame, signifying limitless possibilities, progressiveness, and the airline’s bold, confident outlook for the future,” the airline said in a press release.

The revelation of a logo identity was made by N Chandrasekaran, the chairman of Tata Sons, during a rebranding event. He took to stage to present Air India’s new visual transformation, highlighting how airline’s vision for the future is reflected in its color scheme.

Air India CEO & MD Campbell Wilson has also commented on this soaring transformation, emphasizing how their transformative new brand reflects an ambition to make Air India a world class airline that will proudly represent a new India on the global stage. The new Air India combines boldness, confidence and vibrancy along with warmth, and is also deeply rooted to its rich history and traditions which will make Indian hospitality a global benchmark for service standards.

According to their press release, Air India’s new logo will be part of travelers’ journeys starting from December 2023, aligning with the introduction of Air India’s first Airbus A350 to the fleet with the vibrant new livery.
