‘Your everyday AI companion’

Microsoft has announced the launch of their brand-new AI assistant, Copilot, which will roll out this fall.

According to Microsoft’s blog post, “Copilot will uniquely incorporate the context and intelligence of the web, your work data and what you are doing in the moment on your PC to provide better assistance – with your privacy and security at the forefront.”

Microsoft’s objective behind the implementation of Copilot is ambitious yet clear: they wish to embed this AI-powered tool across their most popular products in order to ensure that the majority of people have access to its benefits as possible. They have also confirmed that they will continue to add capabilities and connections to Copilot across their range of applications over time.

Yusuf Mehdi, Corporate Vice President and Consumer Chief Marketing Officer at Microsoft, said:  “At Microsoft, we think about this as having a copilot to help navigate any task. We have been building AI-powered copilots into our most used and loved products – making coding more efficient with GitHub, transforming productivity at work with Microsoft 365, redefining search with Bing and Edge and delivering contextual value that works across your apps and PC with Windows.”

‘Copilot’ will begin rolling out in its early form from September 26th as part of their free update to Windows 11. It will be followed by its launch across Edge, Bing and Microsoft 365 Copilot later on this fall.

In this new era of cutting-edge technology, Microsoft’s AI-driven vision represents their commitment to evolve and develop in order to provide their consumers with the best possible tools for a more effective and efficient future.
