Pepsi unleashes a new visual identity for the first time in 14 years

“Bigger. Bolder. Better. The new-look Pepsi is here!”

Pepsi has taken over iconic global locations to unleash its first major redesign in fourteen years.

Their new logo thoughtfully borrows from Pepsi’s past. The updated colour palette introduces electric blue and black to bring a bold contemporary edge to the classic Pepsi colour scheme, and the signature Pepsi pulse evokes the “ripple, pop and fizz” of Pepsi Cola – moving in time to the beat of music, the roar of the crowd, the heartbeat of culture.

The new Pepsi logo was displayed in full force at the Gateway of India. With a digital artwork that showcased the reveal of Pepsi’s new visual identity, the brand seized the attention of all.

These reveals were carried out across major cities across the world. In London, a Pepsi installation appeared beside The O2 arena in the east of the city, where nearby cable cars could see an inflatable Pepsi rise from the water followed by a light show of drones. The Gaddafi Cricket Stadium in Pakistan saw a giant Pepsi can land mid-game, to the delight of the onlooking crowd. A hot air assembly, forming a giant Pepsi logo, took over skylines in Warsaw, Poland and Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam, each comprised of over 70 balloons. Elsewhere, Pepsi put out dazzling shows in AlUla in Saudi Arabia, on the Nile in Egypt and Ain Dubai. Each of these harnessed the power of new, cutting edge technology to promote Pepsi’s new image.

Shailja Joshi, Category Lead, Pepsi Cola, PepsiCo India, said: “We are thrilled to reveal Pepsi’s refreshed visual identity and new logo, embodying unapologetic modernity and the iconic status of Pepsi. The fresh design language reflects the invigorating spirit of Indian youth and their boundless pursuit of possibilities. The unveiling of Pepsi’s updated visual identity at the iconic Gateway of India, through a unique installation, signifies our celebration of an exciting new chapter. We’re delighted to bring the new logo to India and are positive that Pepsi enthusiasts nationwide will embrace and connect with the bold new era of the brand in 2024.”

This global reveal marks the first step towards Pepsi’s new, bold era across design, storytelling, and partnerships. Pepsi will continue to drive culture forward in 2024 by delivering one-of-a-kind experiences, all deeply connected to fan passions and desire to live “Thirsty for More”.
