“Reddit has a refreshed look.”

As the internet evolves, so does brands – and with that, their logos.

The popular social media platform Reddit has announced the introduction of a brand-new logo and visuals, showing their focus on the modern community and internet.

Snoo, Reddit’s loveable and unforgettable mascot whose curiosity is a common thread across the broad community of Reddit users, has massively evolved in terms of design and expression over the years. With this next evolution, Snoo has now transformed into 3D with updated poses, reactions and expressions. For the first time in Reddit history, Snoo also has opposable thumbs.

Reddit’s new logo also includes Snoo, along with a new wordmark that uses their Reddit Display typeface.

Reddit has also introduced two new bespoke typefaces – Reddit Display for headlines and large formats, whose design features conversation bubble shapes; and Reddit Sans, designed for easy online readability.

“As we expand our global presence into new markets and engage with more audiences from advertisers and developers to redditors and moderators, we need to strengthen our brand foundation to allow for more creative and consistent expression. Our goal remains to focus on redditors’ needs and make it simpler to bring community, belonging, and empowerment to everyone in the world,” said Reddit’s Chief Marketing and Consumer Experience Officer, Roxy Young.
