Bollywood actress Sonam Kapoor has asked Nancy Tyagi to design an outfit for her after the influencer’s Cannes ensembles went viral.
The Delhi-based content creator made waves across the fashion industry by making a dazzling debut on the red carpet of Cannes Film Festival in outfits she had stitched herself. For her first look, Nancy wore a sparkling pastel gown while her second book was a glittering saree with a veil.

Several Bollywood stars left comments on her post, praising the young designer for her accomplishment. Among those sending praise was Sonam Kapoor, who reposted Nancy’s saree-making video and wrote, “Best outfit in Cannes. Make me something.”
Nancy replied to Sonam: “Thank you so much, @sonamkapoor It would be amazing to create something special for you one day! (sic).”
Sonam Kapoor’s sister, producer-stylist Rhea Kapoor, also commented on Nancy’s video and wrote, “Love it nancy.”
Several other Indian influencers attended Cannes Film Festival in 2024, including Viraj Ghelani, RJ Karishma and Masoon Minawala. Celebrities included Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Kiara Advani, Urvashi Rautela, and other celebs walked the red carpet this year.
