The Royals has been directed by Priyanka Ghose and Nupur Asthana.
This puts yet another project on Sumukhi Suresh’s excellent record. She recently finished her run at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe where she was performing her latest critically acclaimed hour Hoemonal. Earlier this year, she signed up with Karan Johar’s Dharma Cornerstone Agency, and has also written the dialogues for Vikramaditya Motwane’s digital age thriller CTRL starring Ananya Panday.
Suresh has previously proven her talent as an actor with performances in Pushpavalli and Better Life Foundation, and will likely bring the same energy and dynamic screen presence in The Royals.
The release date for the eight-episode series is yet to be announced.
