And so it continues, after Sourav Ganguly and Fortune Oil were trolled due to the discrepancy behind brand messages and its reality, Akshay Kumar and Dabur Chyawanprash are next in line.

Earlier this weekend, Akshay Kumar reported that he had tested positive for Covid and is currently quarantining from home.

Despite getting sympathy and condolences from his well-wishers, Akshay Kumar ended up in the spotlight for trolling alongside Dabur Chyawanprash.

Over the past year, Kumar has constantly advocated Chyawanprash and its benefits in fighting Covid-19 by claiming, “Protection against Covid-19 with 2 spoons of Chyawanprash daily.”

Dabur had also sent out messages claiming that according to a clinical study conducted across 5centerss, Dabur Chyawanprash helps in protection against Covid-19.

Now that these messages have been disapproved, trolls are having a field day on social media by taking a go at Dabur Chyawanprash and Akshay Kumar.

This incident is reminiscent of how brands tend to exaggerate the implications of their products and their benefits; oftentimes compromising the positions of their brand ambassadors.
