Social media has been buzzing with a new viral trend of people imposing the question, “Rasode mein kon tha?”(Who was in the kitchen?). If you don’t understand the reference, here is some context. It all started on the 20th of August when Yashraj Mukhate, a music creator shared a video of Kokilaben, a popular character from the 2010 show Saath Nibhana Saathiya, imposing the question to raise allegations on Rashi, her daughter in law, of setting an empty cooker on the gas stove. The creator is famous for turning ordinary speech from famous videos into rap songs and naturally, when he perfectly captured the melodrama of an Indian soap opera with a hilarious rap, viewers hysterically bursting out with laughter was to be expected.

After the video went viral on social media, brands and creators decided to grasp some moment marketing action and went on a meme making spree.
