March 20, 2025, Mumbai, India: The Women’s Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (WICCI) has launched the Maharashtra chapter of the Women Empowerment Council, strengthening its commitment to fostering women’s leadership and economic empowerment.
Under the national leadership of Ajuli Tulsyan, National President, WICCI Women Empowerment Council and Divya Narayan, National Vice President, the Maharashtra chapter will be spearheaded by Rashmi Shetty, Founder of Cohort Communicationz, as State President and Binal Shah, Founder of Aaroha Music Therapy, as State Vice President. They will be supported by a distinguished State Council comprising accomplished professionals and entrepreneurs from diverse fields.
The Maharashtra chapter of the WICCI Women Empowerment Council aims to drive impactful initiatives focused on the key elements established by the National Council, namely:
- Health & Well-being – Promoting physical and mental wellness as the foundation for personal and professional success.
- Financial & Business Empowerment – Equipping women with financial literacy, entrepreneurial skills, and business acumen to foster economic independence.
- Leadership & Mentorship – Encouraging women to take on leadership roles, build resilience and create a strong network of mentors and role models.

A seasoned communications professional with over two decades of experience in the field of PR and Communications , is the Founder of Cohort Communicationz, a certified psychology counsellor and a mentor with Mentor2Go, dedicated to enabling women and youth.
“Empowering women means equipping them with the right resources, networks and opportunities. Through this council, we aim to foster an ecosystem where women thrive personally and professionally,” said Rashmi Shetty.
Binal Shah, State Vice President, Maharashtra Chapter, WICCI Women Empowerment Council :
A Certified Music Therapist, researcher, and columnist, Binal Shah specializes in clinical, educational, corporate and wellness applications of music therapy and advocates for holistic well-being as a crucial aspect of empowerment.
“Empowerment extends beyond professional success—it encompasses emotional and mental well-being. Our initiatives will focus on building confidence and resilience in women across sectors,” said Binal Shah.

The Maharashtra chapter of the WICCI Women Empowerment Council is set to launch mentorship programs, skill-building workshops and networking events aimed at fostering professional growth, financial independence, and holistic well-being for women across the state.
