YouTube has rolled out out a new “website visits” goal in YouTube Studio’s promotions feature.
This goal is a major boost for creators, allowing them to drive traffic directly to their websites while growing their channel’s audience and overall views.
As per YouTube:
“It’s easier than ever to find your ideal audience and turn video views into site visitors. Right from YouTube, use promotions to meet your growth goals. Provide a few quick inputs like country and language targeting and you can get your ad up and running. Over time, you can start getting results and track the site visits that you’re generating on the Promotions tab in YouTube Studio.”
According to YouTube, channels will be able to utilize this new goal in ads shown on Shorts, in the main feed, and via skippable in-stream ads.
“Those videos will be labeled as “Sponsored.” Just to be clear: promotions are in addition to your channel’s organic reach and discovery on YouTube, and any subscribers and watch time gained from ads won’t count toward YouTube Partner Program eligibility,” the social media platform said.
Google additionally highlights that brands and creators should utilize Google Ads for more advanced video ad campaigns. However, for smaller-scale promotions that drive traffic from YouTube, this could be a beneficial and easy-to-use tool to keep in mind.
