“Dil jeetne ka vaada aur manoranjan ki guarantee!”
Comedian Zakir Khan is set to make his debut as a television host with his new show Aapka Apna Zakir.
Premiering on Sony Entertainment Television, the comedy show will feature Khan’s trademark humor and relatable takes on life. In a teaser that dropped earlier this month, when a member of the crowd asked him the purpose of his arrival, Khan replied “Khushiyon ki guarantee hai, manoranjan ka wada aur sabka dil jeet lunga from bacha to dada”. (Happiness and entertainment are promised along with winning the hearts of everyone- from a child to a grandfather).
Zakir Khan took to social media to express his excitement, telling his followers that “Your life won’t bring you surprises tomorrow if you don’t dream big today.”

According to reports, the cast of the entertainment show will include popular TV actress Shweta Tiwari, Rithrik Dhanjani, Gopal Dutt and Paresh Ganatra. Shweta Tiwari’s inclusion has provoked particular excitement among fans, as it will mark her return to the comedy space since her stint on the sketch-comedy show Comedy Circus Ka Naya Daur.
Khan has also been making waves internationally, performing at some of the most popular comedy venues across the globe. This March, he became the first Indian comedian to perform at New York’s Madison Square Garden in March this year. His new show will be sure to win hearts across the country in the same way.
Premiering on 10th August on Sony TV, ‘Aapka Apna Zakir’ will take over the time slot of The Kapil Sharma Show which ended last year. The show will air on every Saturday-Sunday at 9:30 PM IST on Sony.
