Zepto’s New Campaign Champions Inclusivity and Pledges to Boost Workplace Representation

As Zepto, one of India’s fastest-growing consumer internet companies, celebrates its third anniversary, the company has launched a powerful new campaign emphasizing its commitment to inclusivity and diversity. 

The campaign brings to light the inspiring journeys of women and differently-abled employees within the organization, highlighting how Zepto’s inclusive culture has played a crucial role in their success.

The first of the two digital films released by Zepto focuses on Vishwanath, a differently-abled individual who has risen through the ranks to become a team leader at Zepto Cafe in Bellandur, Bangalore. Vishwanath’s journey is a testament to Zepto’s dedication to providing equal opportunities and creating an environment where all employees can thrive. Vishwanath is one of over 100 differently-abled staff members at Zepto, symbolizing the company’s ongoing efforts to empower those who might otherwise face significant challenges in the workplace.

Kaivalya Vohra, Co-founder of Zepto, expressed his admiration for Vishwanath, stating, “Vishwanath’s story is one of grit and opportunity. He exemplifies strength in silence and is a joy to work with.” This narrative not only underscores the impact of inclusivity at Zepto but also serves as an inspiration for others to recognize the potential within every individual, regardless of their abilities.

The second film in Zepto’s campaign shines a spotlight on the success stories of its female employees, who have broken barriers to assume leadership roles within the company. From store managers to pickers, these women have demonstrated exceptional determination and skill, helping to drive Zepto’s growth and success. Notably, over 50% of the company’s day shift workforce comprises women, a figure that Zepto is committed to maintaining and even increasing as the company expands.

Currently, 10% of Zepto’s stores have women pickers, and more than 10% of day employees in Zepto cafes are differently-abled. These statistics reflect Zepto’s ongoing efforts to create a diverse and inclusive workplace, ensuring that all employees, regardless of gender or ability, have the opportunity to succeed and contribute meaningfully to the company.

“We are proud to have welcomed over 1,400 women into our warehouse teams,” said Kaivalya Vohra. “To serve our diverse world, we need all voices represented. Every voice matters, and we are committed to increasing this number to match, if not exceed, their counterparts!”
